First Bus will hike up the cost of bus travel for students next month.
The cost of a student day ticket is set to increase by 30 pence to £3.50.
The new charges will come into effect on Sunday, March 31.
Students are shocked by the news of price rises to an already expensive ticket.
Edward Pollock, an events management student at RGU said: "I have a bus pass and it is very useful, but buses are becoming unreliable.
"I caught the bus today and it was full. It was only in Bridge of Don, it had not even reached halls and it was already rejecting people.
"They are increasing prices for not-very-well conditioned buses or service, and are making it more difficult for people to get to Garthdee."
Passengers will see fares such as twelve-week, six-month and twelve-month season tickets being frozen.

Adult and child day tickets will be reduced by ten pence, while other prices will have a dramatic increase.
Director and General Manager Duncan Cameron is delighted most fares will not increase.
He said: "I’m really pleased that we’ve been able to freeze so many of our fares, despite the ever increasing costs facing the business."
Mr Cameron admitted "almost every single cost" has increased for the Aberdeen-based firm, and added that costs were only likely to increase.
