Aberdeen is only the second city in Scotland to host the chain, which will also contain a specialist grocery and deli.

The new eatery will be the twenty-fifth food outlet in the centre since its opening in 2009 and further adds to the biggest shopping centre in the city.

It will open beside country outfitters Joules and hair salon Saks, which both created 20 jobs between them when they arrived in the city.

The announcement comes amid reports that Aberdeen is bucking the trend of closing retail units.

According to recent research by data company PricewaterhouseCoopers, Aberdeen was the
only city in Scotland to see more shops open than close between the Februaries of 2012 and 2013.

Glasgow saw the highest amount of shop closures in the country with 113.
